They are irrelevant in today's day and age of scientific research. But I agree on taking the chauvinism a few notches down. It reeks of stretching the data to fit the theory.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2876601164662390448.post-76522630603770409472023-04-28T00:18:29.518-07:002023-04-28T00:18:29.518-07:00Whilst I find much of your commentary plausible, i...Whilst I find much of your commentary plausible, it is very hard to look past your 'dogmatic' turn of phrases. There is certainly some deep & seemingly big questions to answer, particularly in light of the Western view to present classical Greece as the font of everything we know today. Unfortunately for these Western scholars who hold & promote this view the biggest 'elephant' in the room is that majestic advanced civilization right on their door step - Egypt! Western thought conveniently over looks this mighty civilization, choosing only to elevate the Grecian bits, i.e. the Ptolemy's! If Western 'scholars' have done this to ancient Egypt, proof of ancient Indian civilization that might be older than Egypt (or even as old) would be very difficult to get them to accept. Remember for many Western historians, maintaining their views has become part of their career CV. The only way to convince World opinion is to constantly draw their attention to the evidence, without resorting to talking about 'holy this & that' unless it forms part of the evidence. This one element is enough for these critics to declare that your argument is tainted. however foolproof it is. I have read many comments made by Indians about the pre-eminence Indus/Sarasvati civilization(s), much of it quite cogent, only to have them dash their credibility by promoting outlandish claims alongside it. These commentators are doing the real investigator findings a disservice. Stick to the evidence. My humble investigations on the matter over the last 15 years certainly suggests this. Do not spoil it with hyperbolic characteristics or manner. GoodluckAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
